How does sending a letter work?
You write your letter in the app or in the browser, on your own or with AI help. FrankKi formats it to the German DIN 5008 standard, prints it on real paper, puts it in an envelope and hands it to the post. You follow the status in the app.
Do I need a printer?
No. That is the whole point. FrankKi handles printing, enveloping and mailing completely. All you need is your iPhone or a browser.
What does a letter cost?
A standard letter costs from €1.49 in black and white or from €3.59 in color. A registered letter (Einwurf) starts at €7.59, registered with signature at €8.19. The app itself is free and there is no subscription. Those are the app prices. For businesses and high-volume senders there is volume pricing on the web with a business account, from €1.49 per letter at 1,000 letters a month.
How long does delivery take?
A standard letter within Germany is delivered in 1 to 3 business days. Across DACH and several European countries your letter runs through the local postal service, and to the rest of the world via DHL in typically 4 to 18 business days.
Can I send registered mail online?
Yes. At checkout you choose between Einwurf, delivered with a proof of posting and without a signature from €7.59, and Übergabe, handed over against the recipient signature from €8.19. Both come with tracking.
Do I get tracking?
Standard letters have no tracking number. You see the status in the app: ordered, printed, sent, plus the estimated delivery window. For real tracking with proof of delivery, pick a registered option.
Is a printed letter legally valid?
FrankKi prints and mails your letter like a paper letter you post yourself. Whether the particular letter is legally sufficient or effective still depends on matters such as its content, form, signature, recipient and deadline. FrankKi does not provide legal advice.
What can the AI do?
The AI drafts your letter from your description. Say you want to cancel your gym membership and you get a formally correct German cancellation letter. You can edit the text at any time afterwards.
Is my data stored?
FrankKi only processes what creating, printing and delivering the letter requires. For sending, the letter goes once to the print provider and is deleted after printing. No tracking, no ads, no data selling.
Can I send letters abroad?
Yes, FrankKi ships worldwide. Local postal tariffs across DACH and several European countries, and DHL to the rest of the world in typically 4 to 18 business days. International prices are calculated per destination and shown before you pay.
Does it work without an iPhone, in the browser?
Yes. Besides the iOS app there is the web app. You create an account, paste your text, pick the recipient and send the letter.
Can my AI agent send letters?
Yes. FrankKi MCP is live. Add https://mcp.frankki.app as a remote MCP server in your AI client, authenticate, and your agent can draft, price, send and track real letters. The final approval stays with you.
